Community Health Nurse

Did you know that young children are due for a health and development check with the child health nurse at 8 months, 18 months and 3 years? Seeing children at these ages helps to pick up problems early, and give parents support they may need.  We can also help with children aged 0-4 years who are fussy eaters, have poor sleep, problems with toilet training, behaviour issues, development concerns, and more.

Our Child Health Nurse visits the school every Thursday morning, 8.30am – 12pm.  To book an appointment please call 9795 2888. The appointments will be held in a private room near the front office. To make an appointment on other days at Hudson Rd Community Health, please call 9795 2888.

Triple P

Triple P has been proven to help parents raise happy, confident children. The program is based on over 25 years of research that shows the importance of positive, effective parenting. There is no one right way to be a parent. Triple P suggests simple routines and small changes that can make a big difference to your family. Triple P is a parenting program for all parents of children from aged three.

All parents want to have a positive relationship with their child. Sometimes this can be challenging when children are demanding, disobedient, defiant, throw temper tantrums or are generally disruptive. Triple P teaches practical, effective ways to manage common issues most parents will face at some time, such as tantrums, meal times and bedtime difficulties, disobedience and hurting others. To book into a course please call 9795 2888. Triple P is offered as an 8 week program or a series of 3 brief seminars.
